Z Power Australia was the brain child of Alan Simpson. Al’s passions for everything motorcycles and motorcycle racing led to the creation of his own business, Z Power Australia in 1997.
Like all family small businesses, Z Power Australia started in Al’s spare room and extended in the home garage in Newcastle. As the business grew in popularity, he realised more space was needed. This coincided with family commitments and it was agreed to move Z Power Australia and his family to Wollongong.
Starting in Ralph Black Drive North Wollongong, he soon out grew this location and moved to Kiera Street Wollongong. Z Power Australia was Illawarra’s leading motorcycle store with many return customers. It was here he employed a small team and developed a business website with an online shopping cart. This achievement was well advanced for its time as many businesses did not have an online presence. Today the website is an essential ingredient to meet the needs of our customers.
In 2010 Z Power Australia faced life changing circumstances. With Al’s sudden and unexpected death, Z Power Australia found a new home with Al’s brother in law, Paul Jones. With the support of Paul’s family, including Al’s wife (and Paul’s sister), the business was moved to Orange in central New South Wales.
For the past 8 years, Z Power Australia has been located in Lords Place Orange. As Al took the business secrets with him, Paul has rapidly learnt all things Z Power Australia.
